What we do

The right work depends on the shear.

Not every tool needs the same intervention. The service starts with condition and function, then the work is matched to what the shear actually needs.

01

Shear sharpening

Appropriate edge service for professional cutting shears, based on construction and condition.

02

Adjustment & tension

Blade contact, tension, pivot, and functional setup checked and adjusted where appropriate.

03

Corrective service

Damage and prior work are assessed first. Corrective work is recommended only when it is appropriate for the shear and within the service scope.

04

Maintenance

Routine care and service intended to keep a working shear performing consistently.

The service standard

Four steps. A record of what was done.

Inspect

Condition, function, blade relationship, pivot, hardware, and obvious wear.

Service

Cleaning and edge work appropriate to the shear and the condition found at intake.

Adjust

Contact, alignment, tension, and pivot setup checked and corrected where appropriate.

Test

Final cutting performance is checked before the shear is returned.

Service record

You should know what happened to your shear.

Each completed service can be returned with a simple record of the checks performed, work completed, technician, date, and notes that matter for the next service.

The record is documentation, not a decorative certificate. If work was not needed or was not performed, it should not be marked as completed.

Who we serve

Stylists. Barbers. Grooming professionals.

People whose shears are working tools, not household scissors.

About

The tool comes first.

Manoah Shear Co. began in 2013 with a simple standard: start with the condition and function of the shear, do the work that is appropriate, test the result, and document what was done.

Professional shears are working tools, and not every pair needs the same service. Every shear is assessed individually, and every service record identifies the work performed and the technician who performed it.

FAQ

Before you hand over the tool.

What kinds of shears do you service?

We focus on professional shears used by stylists, barbers, and grooming professionals. Specialty constructions, significant damage, or prior improper sharpening may need to be evaluated before service is accepted.

What if a shear should not be sharpened?

We will not sharpen a shear simply because it came in for service. If sharpening or corrective work is not appropriate for the tool, we will explain why and recommend the next step before any work is performed.

How long does service take?

Turnaround depends on the service route, current workload, and the condition of the shear. We will confirm the expected turnaround before your service is scheduled.

Do you service household scissors?

Manoah Shear Co. specializes in professional shears. Household scissors are not part of our standard service.
